Mackie Shilstone named panelist for The Washington Post

Panel discusses current NFL topics and includes former players, general managers and media experts

East Jefferson General Hospital’s Mackie Shilstone has been named to a national panel of experts assembled by The Washington Post that will be featured weekly with guest columns on medical and fitness topics relating to the National Football League (NFL).

The Washington Post created this NFL forum called The League, and says it’s “for football fans who want more than just talking heads and tired replays. From opening day through draft day we supply you with smart takes from NFL veterans, coaches, reporters and insiders -- and highlight what you the fans have to say.”

Mackie is thrilled to have been chosen to participate in The League and to be included in one of the most respected daily newspapers in the country.  He says, “this venue will offer The Fitness Principle here at EJGH the opportunity to be placed on a highly respected weekly national forum. I think more than anything, it lets the citizens of Jefferson Parish and the country know that a local program has been recognized as one of this country's best when it comes to sports medicine and positive lifestyle management.”
