Are you a current or former smoker age 55 or older? Have you smoked at least a pack of cigarettes per day for 30 years? If you answered "yes" to these questions, you may benefit from a lung CT screening. Studies have shown that CT detects lung cancers earlier than chest x-rays, when the cancer is smaller and more treatable, leading to better outcomes for patients.

CT Lung ScreeningThis quick, painless screening test is offered at EJGH on our low-dose CT scanners. The results are available the same day in most cases and will be mailed to you and faxed to your doctor.

A doctor's order is necessary to schedule the test. Please note that not all insurers cover this screening exam. In the event that it is not covered by insurance, a $400 fee will be charged to cover the exam and the interpretation.

Please call (504) 885-4223 or (504) 883-6900 to schedule the exam today.

Lung cancer claims the lives of more American men and women each year than any other type of cancer. Talk to your doctor today to determine if a screening lung CT would be beneficial for you.
