The physicians at East Jefferson Cardiology Consultants represent some of the most experienced, accomplished cardio-specialists in the region. Known not only for their clinical expertise but for the individualized level of care their patients receive, these physicians work closely with each patient to define a care program that best fits the needs of each patient.

Fortune A. Dugan, MD, FACC

Fortune A. Dugan is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at Duke University Medical Center. He has board certifications with American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease and American Board of Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Dugan is the Medical Director of the Cardiology Department at East Jefferson General Hospital. Dr. Dugan is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Benjamin F. Jacobs, MD, FACC

Benjamin F. Jacobs is a graduate of Tulane Medical School. He also completed his fellowship in cardiology at Tulane Medical School. He has board certifications with American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Jacobs is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Glenn P. Kelley, MD, FACC

Glenn P. Kelley is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and echocardiology at the LSU Health Sciences Center. He has board certifications with the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease, and the Subspecialty Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Kelley is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Gary D. Menszer, MD, FACC

Gary D. Menszer is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He has board certifications with American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease and American Board of Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Menszer is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Lehman K. Preis, Jr., MD, FACC

Lehman K. Preis is a graduate of Tulane Medical School. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Virginia Hospital. He has board certifications with American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Preis is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

David W. Snyder, MD, FACC

David W. Snyder is a graduate of Duke University. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at Washington University. He has board certifications with American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease and American Board of Internal Medicine, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Snyder is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Staff

We are proud of our entire staff. They play an important part in the delivery of your care. They are trained to answer most questions and will often relay information from your doctor to you over the phone.

We have a staff of four full time and three part time nurses, 5 medical assistants and an office staff of 15 individuals who will assist you with scheduling appointments, getting in contact with your physician or nurse and assist you at the time of your visit.
