Luis Arencibia, M.D.

Dr. Arencibia received his Doctorate from Spartan Health Sciences University in Saint Lucia, West Indies. He completed his residency in Family Medicine from East Jefferson General Hospital. He is the Vice-President of Clinical Affairs for Wound Care Specialist. He is also the Family Medicine Chief and Chair of the Division of Medicine at East Jefferson General Hospital.

Amy Broussard, M.D.

Dr. Broussard received her Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She is a hospitalist for the Gulf States Hospitalist Program at EJGH. She is a member of the Gulf States Quality committee and the Pulmonary Service Line Performance Improvement committee.

Sarath Butalla, M.D.

Sarath Butalla

Sarath Butalla, a native of India, is a board certified physician. Dr. Butalla attended medical school in India and completed his residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, Philadelphia.

David English, M.D.

David English

David English, originally from El Paso, Texas, attended the University of Texas for undergraduate education and also earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas-Houston. He completed residency at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Angela Graebert, M.D.

Dr. Graebert received her Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and internship in Internal Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She is a member of the American College of Physicians. She is also certified in Advanced Care Life Support.

Eric Gustafson, M.D.

Eric GustafsonEric Gustafson, a board certified physician and Sudbury, Massachusetts native, attended Georgetown University for his undergraduate education. Dr. Gustafson completed his medical training at Tulane University School of Medicine and is trained in pediatrics.

Hieu Luu, M.D.

Hieu LuuHieu Luu, originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attended Marquette University for undergraduate education. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center.

John Marker, M.D.

John MarkerJohn Marker, a board certified physician and native of Arkansas, completed his medical education at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Jennifer Meyer, M.D.

Jennifer MeyersJennifer Meyer, a board certified physician, attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree and for her Masters of Public Health degree. She received her Doctor of Medicine and completed her residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine.

Julie Morial, M.D.

Dr. Morial received her Doctorate from University of Pennsylvania and her Masters of Public Health from University of California Berkeley. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine from Northwestern University Medical Center Evanston Hospital. Her work was published in the Permanente Journal. She is a member of the Smoking Cessation Trust for Louisiana Committee and the Louisiana State University Asthma Center Advisory Committee.

Chuong Nguyen, M.D.

Dr. Nguyen received his Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Emory University and his fellowship in Partial Hematology and Oncology from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was a research assistant at Emory University and tested a method for depleting dendritic cells from peripheral blood. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. He is fluent in Vietnamese.

Allison Olinde, M.D.

Dr. Olinde received her Doctorate from Louisiana State University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine from Tulane University. She is a member of the Quality Improvement Committee, which evaluates possible improvements in patient care. Her work has been published in the Louisiana State Medical Journal and Open Journal of Gastroenterology.

Justin Olinde, M.D.

Dr. Olinde received his Doctorate from Louisiana State University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Tulane University. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, Louisiana State Medical Society, and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. He is also a member of the Quality Improvement Committee, which evaluates possible improvements in patient care.

David Pollet, M.D.

Dr. Pollet received his Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He is on the East Jefferson General Hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He recently began practicing at East Jefferson General Hospital as an Internal Medicine hospitalist.

Curtis Prowell, M.D.

Curtis ProwellCurtis Prowell, a board certified physician and Mandeville native, is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Prowell also completed his residency and undergraduate education at Louisiana State University.

Leslie A. Rodrigue, M.D.

Dr. Rodrigue received her Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine from Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation. She is board certified in American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the Allied Health Credentialing committee and the Medical Records committee.

Richard Witzig, M.D.

Witzig2011-webDr. Witzig received his Master of Public Health from Harvard and his Doctorate from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Infectious Disease from Tulane University Medical School and in Emerging Infectious Disease from the Center of Disease Control and Prevention. He was sent as a World Health Organization consultant in 1999 to Pakistan to start the first organized polio eradication campaign in the region. He also has fifteen years of experience in Amazon health and human rights among the Urarina people.

Dustin Yontz, M.D.

Dr. Yontz received his Doctorate from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and was the co-chief resident. He also completed his fellowship at Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is certified in Family Medicine, Hyperbaric and Undersea Medicine, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Staff

The Hospitalists' staff consists of a dedicated group of professionals who aid in daily operations. They set up appointments, assist in procedures, and help the patients as they move through the process of being treated for a variety of conditions.
