Advanced Core Stability

This a graduate program to Core Stability that focuses abdominals, back, and hips. You will learn how to effectively strengthen the core using proper form and technique! You must be able to get on and off the floor with ease.

Advanced Core Stability Circuit

A variety in cardiovascular, abs, back and hip focused circuit training with low to high intensity alternatives offered to all fitness levels.

Arth-X Land-Chair Class

Exercise specific muscles and joint groups with rhythmic movements while sitting and standing. Helps increase joint flexibility, overall stamina, and build stronger muscles.

Circuit Training

A variety in cardiovascular and muscle maintenance focused circuit training with low to high intensity alternatives offered to all fitness levels. Metabolism promoting and injury prevention type methods incorporated to provide a work out related to movement for all ages.

Pilates

A series of non-impact exercises performed on a floor mat using your own body weight and gravity to strengthen and lengthen your entire body. You will concentrate on specific movements to develop and maintain physical control while learning to relax and breath, maintain proper posture, increase range of motion in joints, and develop strong abdominal and back muscles.

RPM

This class is the 45 minute indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training. Discover your athlete within – sweat and burn to reach your endorphin high. Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new RPM™ class is released every three months with new music and choreography.

Somatic Training

This is a mind and body class for neuromuscular education. This class is done on the floor and is a safe way to remove pain, relieve stress, and restore range of movement.

Tai Chi All Levels

Explore a system of movement that combines gentle exercise and modulation to promote relaxation, health and vitality while improving flexibility, balance, coordination and muscle strength. *Registration required (504) 849-6803.

Yoga

This class is designed for people who are new to yoga or who want a gentle and Therapeutic form of yoga. These gentle movements are designed to increase circulation, release tension in muscles, and relieve structural imbalances in the spine and joints.

Zumba

Zumba is combination of different high-energy fitness routines and various styles of dance from all parts of the world. You will burn calories and tone your body.

Balls-N-All

Simply the premiere toning class using the physioball, bands, body bar, pilates ring, weights, etc.  Enjoyable and unique for all participants.

Body Combat

This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, and taekwondo. You strike, punch, kick, and kata.

Body Pump

This workout challenges all your major muscle groups using the best weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts, and curls.

Cardio & Strength

Get your cardio workout with low impact, high intensity moves and get your muscles toned with weight based interval training.

Cardio Challenge

Kick off your weekend with a fun and exciting cardio workout! This class is 60 minutes of aerobics, abdominal work and stretching all wrapped up into one tough class, modified for all fitness levels.

Circuit Training

A variety in cardiovascular and muscle maintenance focused circuit training with low to high intensity alternatives offered to all fitness levels. Metabolism promoting and injury prevention type methods incorporated to provide a work out related to movement for all ages.

Core Stability

For individuals with osteoporosis, back problems and low level of balance. Functional activity and strength exercises focus on building core body strength and improving balance.

Low Impact Aerobics

This low-impact workout will provide warm-up, invigorating cardiovascular workout, stretching, and a relaxing cool down. Options provided for all fitness levels.

Pilates

Piloga

A new concept combining Pilates and yoga to extensively strengthen core, improve posture and practice relaxation techniques for a tantalizing complete mind body experience.

Spicy Steps

This energizing class offers Latin dance, rhythms and music to provide education and exercise to focus on increasing the strength of larger muscle groups.

Step Aerobics

This workout uses an adjustable step bench to accommodate all fitness levels. This class is motivating for the beginner, as well as, the advanced participant.

Yoga

Line Dancing

Boot, Scoot and boogie your way to fitness. Join us for fun and interactive instruction in the latest dance steps choreographed to music in this eight week series. *Registration required (504) 503-6803.

A Typical Class

  1. At the beginning, the pace is easy and the resistance light, to get your legs warmed up.
  2. Speed and intensity increase as you work towards your top personal pace. You'll warm up your climbing muscles, and then hit a series of full-on hill climbs that test your strength and cycling time trials that test your endurance. There will be time for recovery, just enough to give you the energy to push through the next challenge.
  3. At the end of the class you will finish the journey and ride home together. Recovery is the name of the game, including the all-important stretch.
