Dr. Rafael Figueroa has been with East Jefferson General Hospital for nearly 10 years and has been the Vice-Chair of Radiology since 2008. He has been the Medical Director of the East Jefferson General Hospital Imaging Center (EJIC) since the facility's opening in 2009 and has been a vital part of the hospital's growth and outreach into the community.

"EJIC is a benefit because it gives doctors and office staff easy access to patient care," says Dr. Figueroa. "East Jefferson has the best physicians and technology, and offers a convenient, comfortable location. We have all the tools to give patients and physicians the best experience possible."

Dr. Figueroa is married with three children (ages four, eight and nine). Originally from Puerto Rico, his extended family still lives there and his kids visit every summer to spend time with family. He won the EJGH George Bailey, M.D. Physician of the 3rd Quarter Award in 2009, and avidly enjoys technology and computer/audio visual equipment.
