The Game of Tennis...Tennis is one of the most popular sports in America. It can be enjoyed by everyone: man, woman or child - whether novice or professional. As in every sport, you want to perform your best and avoid needless injury. The tennis ground, strokes and serve are complex movements. Your body must be prepared to produce and withstand the forces required to play this guide reaction game. TPEP's purpose is to provide you with a tennis-specific conditioning plan which will improve forehand, backhand and most importantly, the serve. Areas of emphasis will be placed on pelvic stabilization to develop strong core, scapula stabilization and rotator cuff strengthening to assist in injury reduction, functional leg strength to reduce incidence of knee injury along with tennis agility and footwork to enhance your ability to react to the ball. Program options include consultation with a licensed nutritionist, metabolic study to measure your metabolic rate, body composition analysis to determine appropriate lean to fat ratio and a customized, take-home manual documenting exercises and protocols with pictures. Options are available on an "a la carte" basis. This program utilizes two (2) tubing devices which are portable and can be used at home or on the road. The tubes can be used on or off the tennis court in a format that you can carry and take anywhere. |
