With the addition of East Jefferson Imaging Center (EJIC), patients now have a convenient, off-campus setting in which to access all of the radiological services available at the main hospital. EJIC is also proud to offer Louisiana's only Philips Panorama High Field, Open MRI—a spacious system designed to help larger patients or those with claustrophobic concerns feel at ease.

In addition, EJIC boasts the Panorama Open MRI equipped with CinemaVision Goggles. These goggles allow the patient to enjoy TV shows, radio, DVD's or other entertainment, putting even the most claustrophic patients at ease. The noise cancelling feature adds to the comfortable patient experience.

Our convenient, patient-friendly setting also offers in-house coverage and interpretation of all exams by a board certified radiology-imaging specialist on weekends and holidays. At EJIC, patients enjoy shorter wait times, on average, and physicians have the benefit of expert reads with a quick turnaround, ensuring that our patients get the best care as quickly as possible.
